It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our fellow board member, Ayodele Mojisola Idowu Oluyemi, on May 8, 2025.
Ayo was a passionate community advocate whose dedication touched many lives. She served as a lead volunteer with Black CAP, where her commitment to equity and justice shone through in all that she did.
At Across Boundaries, she brought that same passion and vision to her role as a board member, contributing her wisdom, energy, and lived experience to strengthen our work and community.
Her generosity of spirit, unwavering advocacy, and deep compassion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside her. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who are mourning this profound loss.
Ayo’s legacy of care, advocacy, and community service will continue to inspire us.

Across Boundaries Board is currently recruiting individuals for Board membership, with the following areas of experience and expertise:

- Experience in non-profit fundraising and Development
- Marketing & Promotion
- Government Relations
- Public Affairs & Communication
The Board also encourages applicants that represent:

- Racialized communities
The Board may meet between six to ten times a year; additionally, members are expected to join board committees which may meet monthly or as needed.
