Rebecca Mador (she/her) is a Métis woman with roots in the Georgian Bay community . She is the Director of Strategy and Planning at Shkaabe Makwa – an Indigenous-led Centre for Innovation at CAMH – where she oversees the Centre’s operations, communications, strategic planning, and community engagement. As a skilled relationship-builder and collaborative leader, Rebecca is deeply committed to creating sustained change that centers the lived experiences, values, knowledges and worldviews of Indigenous Peoples. Rebecca has a Master’s degree in public health and, prior to joining CAMH, worked with senior leaders at mainstream healthcare organizations to deliver anti-racism training and to design and implement organizational change strategies that improve access, experiences and outcomes for Indigenous populations. She is an active member of the Toronto-York Region Métis community as well as a mom, sister, auntie, daughter, and spouse.
