For more than 30 years, Across Boundaries has been in the room with Black and racialized communities, providing mental health and substance use care in systems that were never built with them in mind.
That experience lives in this training.
We’ve long offered in-person Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression workshops to institutions. Now we’re advancing that learning with these five self-paced trainings for anyone who wants to better understand the systemic issues faced by ACB communities and support equity.
The training series invites participants to learn about:
- African Caribbean and Black youth involvement within the justice system
- Black trans and non-binary mental health
- Commitment to standing up for racial justice
- Introduction to Black 2SLGBTQ+ communities
- Introduction to substance use and harm reduction

Each module offers an opportunity to reflect on how systems operate, how inequities are produced, and how communities continue to build pathways toward justice and care.

“At a moment when equity work is being questioned and rolled back, Across Boundaries is staying firm and pushing back. Black communities have always led the work of naming injustice and building solutions. This training is part of that legacy.” – Aseefa Sarang, Executive Director, Across Boundaries
