Mental Health and Justice Initiative (MHJI)

The Mental Health and Justice Initiative (MHJI) provides community mental health support services and housing services across Toronto for those who are involved in the criminal justice system.  The MHJI was established by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC). This program is offered in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association – Toronto branch.

 

Mental Health and Justice Community Support Worker

This service is provided in collaboration with the Short-Term Residential Crisis Services as part of the Mental Health and Justice Initiative. The service is for people of color who are experiencing severe mental health distress with the goal of keeping them out of the criminal justice system.
