"I joined Across Boundaries a year ago, and this place has truly shaped who I am today. After a difficult search for the right opportunity, Across Boundaries welcomed me as who I am, with warmth and understanding, offering me my first long-term role after my Masters. It was here that I began my professional journey - working with my first clients, building my skills, and finding purpose in the work I do.

What makes AB so special to me is not just the incredible work we do with clients, but also the people I work alongside every day – their kindness and the way they look out for each other make this place feel like more than just a workplace. We celebrate with each other, stand by one another and create connections that go far beyond the job. I am deeply proud and grateful to be a part of this team, and I congratulate Across Boundaries on 30 amazing years of opening doors, touching lives and making each day meaningful!"

"I had the privilege of serving as a Social Worker with Across Boundaries from 2022 to 2025. During my time there, I was deeply impressed by the organization’s supportive leadership and its collaborative, welcoming environment. I am truly grateful for the enriching experience and the training opportunities that strengthened my professional skills and prepared me for future challenges.

As Across Boundaries celebrates 30 years of remarkable excellence, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for many more years of growth, prosperity, and achievements. This milestone is a powerful reflection of the vision, dedication, and hard work of the entire team, both past and present."

"I am satisfied with the support and services I received from Across Boundaries over the years. "I found Across Boundaries" in 2019 and began services from July of the same year. During COVID-19, I was isolated at home and began attending online programs. The programs helped me to stay connected to the community and helped me to manage my mental health and extreme fear of the pandemic.

My Case Manager provided counseling and food support, and I am currently working on my goals to reduce my stressors so that I can concentrate on my treatment and recovery."

"I began coming to the Across Boundaries programs during the pandemic. Me and my husband had just moved from Mississauga, and we were looking for work in the neighbourhood. My husband’s friend living in our neighbourhood and who was a client at Across Boundaries told my husband about the program, and he came here with him. We returned the next day, joined the program, and we got the food on first day itself. My husband also lost his father back home during the pandemic, and he became very stressed because he could not go, and several other family problems were taking place at the same time. When I started the program I did not mingle because I was depressed With staff support here, I feel very supported and safe. My Case Manager is my angel. "

"For a long time, I was looking for a place that felt like home, related to my mental health. I wanted to feel welcome and able to speak up about things that were important to me. When I found Across Boundaries, I felt that it was different from the other programs I knew, and everything was accessible for free. There was no waiting list for programs, and I felt that it was a “one-stop shop” with many resources and programs under the same roof.

From the beginning, I felt welcome and heard, and even when the agency is” short on people”, they do the best they can to support the community. My experience at Across Boundaries has been instrumental in improving my mental health and has enabled me to nurture my creativity and feel more confident in myself. I am still growing, but I know that I have a place where I feel supported, despite my own challenges and the challenges in the mental health care system. I am very optimistic about my future. "

"This place makes me feel like myself. I come to across boundaries and it motivates me to speak with people, understand what people are feeling.i was scared to come here for the first time but from the time I entered the door the receptionist was so warm, they made sit in the lounge area served me warm fresh food. The staff does not make us feel like it's their duty to take care of us it feels like I'm in Community. Qudsia, Neethu, Osa, Cassandra, Lorraine , Hagar and many many others made me feel very comfortable and welcome. The programs yoga, gardening, English class, brain cognitive sessions are very helpful. I did not think I needed it but they have really helped me learn more about me and others. This place is not just a clinic or medical place it is a community center."
